Qinghe Electric Supplies 2000 kVA UL-Certified Dry-Type Transformer for Foxconn’s U.S. Project
Jinan Qinghe Electric Co., Ltd. has supplied a 2000 kVA UL-certified dry-type transformer for Foxconn’s U.S. project. The unit was engineered and manufactured for dependable industrial power distribution, combining project-specific design, controlled production and documented quality inspection.
A Project-Focused 2000 kVA Dry-Type Transformer
Industrial facilities require stable power, clear safety documentation and equipment that integrates with the approved electrical system. For this project, Qinghe Electric provided a 2000 kVA dry-type transformer configured according to the customer’s approved technical documents. The final voltage ratio, vector group, impedance, temperature-rise requirements and accessories are governed by the approved drawings and nameplate data.
The transformer uses an epoxy-resin cast-coil structure. Compared with liquid-filled equipment, a dry-type transformer does not require insulating oil, helping reduce fire and leakage concerns while simplifying routine maintenance. These characteristics make cast-resin dry-type transformers suitable for factories, data centers, commercial buildings, renewable-energy facilities and other sites where operational continuity and indoor safety are priorities.
UL Certification for the U.S. Market
UL certification was a key requirement for this U.S. transformer project. The supplied equipment carries UL certification within the scope of its project documentation and nameplate information. This supports the customer’s compliance review and provides clearer traceability for the electrical contractor, engineering team and facility operator.
For overseas projects, certification alone is not enough. Equipment must also match the site’s system voltage, installation environment, protection scheme, cable-entry arrangement and local inspection requirements. Qinghe Electric reviews these factors before production so that technical questions can be resolved during the drawing-approval stage rather than after delivery.
Manufacturing and Quality Control
The 2000 kVA transformer was manufactured through controlled processes covering core assembly, coil production, insulation treatment, structural assembly, wiring, inspection and final testing. Particular attention was given to insulation integrity, mechanical support, clearances, terminal arrangement and the consistency of the finished enclosure.
Before shipment, the transformer underwent the applicable factory inspection and test procedures defined for the order. Project records and product documentation were prepared to support installation, commissioning and future maintenance. This disciplined process helps reduce field modifications and gives international customers a more predictable delivery experience.
