Product Details
Single-Phase Pole-Mounted Distribution Transformer
This oil-immersed transformer is designed for overhead distribution systems serving residential, commercial, rural and utility applications. Each unit is engineered to the specified primary voltage, secondary voltage, kVA rating, grounding arrangement and utility construction standard.

Typical Configuration Range

• Capacity: Common ratings from 5 to 167 kVA; larger project-specific ratings subject to engineering review
• Frequency: 50 or 60 Hz
• Primary Voltage: Utility distribution voltages through the applicable medium-voltage class
• Secondary Voltage: Project-specific single-phase secondary ratings
• Cooling: ONAN or KNAN, depending on the insulating fluid and design
• Insulating Fluid: Mineral oil or natural ester fluid
• Taps: De-energized tap changer configurations available
• Mounting: Pole-mounted tank with utility-specified lifting and mounting provisions
• Bushings: Cover-mounted or sidewall-mounted arrangements as specified
• Tank: Sealed-tank construction with corrosion-protection coating

Available Options

• Primary surge arresters and fused cutouts
• Secondary circuit breaker
• Internal current-limiting fuse
• Dual-voltage or series-multiple primary arrangements
• Wildlife guards and bushing covers
• Pressure-relief device, grounding provisions and nameplate options
• Utility-specific brackets, connectors and hardware

Standards and Efficiency

Designs can be provided for applicable requirements of IEEE C57.12.00, IEEE C57.12.20, IEEE C57.12.28 and IEEE C57.12.90. U.S. Department of Energy efficiency requirements under 10 CFR Part 431 apply when the transformer is within the regulated distribution-transformer scope.

Final kVA, voltage ratio, BIL, impedance, losses, temperature rise, dimensions, weight and accessories are confirmed on the approved drawings and certified test documentation.
